Past Funded Researchers
Rajesh Kumar is Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at IIT-Ropar. His group studies biological processes at the cellular and tissue level using several light-based tools and techniques including Raman spectroscopy. He has worked for over 10 years in Europe and the US (NASA, JPL and MIT, Cambridge) in the area of Biophotonics. At IIT Ropar, he works with optical spectroscopy and advanced microscopy imaging techniques, including label-free and non-invasive approaches for biomedical and healthcare applications. While his focus has been on biomedical applications, he has recently worked to apply spectroscopic techniques for the label-free detection of agricultural pathogens.
