Water Sector Research Engagement
Research and innovation to meet the world’s water needs
The world’s supply of fresh water is finite and is already taxed by a rising global population and expanding world economy. One in three people worldwide lacks access to safe drinking water. Climate change is poised to further stress this precious resource. We believe that research and innovation are essential to solving the problems of water scarcity, water quality, and access. J-WAFS is fueling research on sensors, purification, water use efficiency, and water production, distribution, and management, in order to find solutions to our current water challenges and to ensure clean and safe water for generations to come.
