Anamitra Saha, PhD, is a postdoctoral associate in the Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on atmospheric and hydrological processes, natural hazards, and climate change. Currently, he is working with MIT’s Sai Ravela, PhD, on assessing the risk of climate extremes and developing downscaling methodologies to achieve them. During his graduate studies, he worked with Prof. Subimal Ghosh at IIT Bombay, where he examined the impact of anthropogenic emissions on the Indian monsoon and investigated the relative contributions of climate and land use changes to the hydrology of major river basins in India.
