Tyler Barron grew up in Falmouth, Massachusetts, and received a bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst in sustainable food and farming. He's worked as a farmer, landscaper, carpenter, deckhand, and field assistant. He is a board member of an agricultural non-profit called Farming Falmouth, where he has led a mushroom cultivation workshop, started a pawpaw tree grove, and, after four years of research and writing, he recently published the 2024 Falmouth Food System Assessment. In his free time, he loves to ride his bike, play soccer, and grow food. In Fall 2024, he began the master’s in city planning program at MIT to pursue his interests in active mobility, food systems, and urban governance.
