Timothy Lu is an associate professor with appointments in the Department of Biological Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Professor Lu is also a core faculty member of the Synthetic Biology Center, an associate member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and a member of the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE). He is a co-recipient of a 2016 J-WAFS seed grant for his project, "Real-time, On-site Detection of Foodborne Pathogens by Engineered Bacteriophage Integrated with Microfluidic Sample Preparation Platforms.”
