Professor Sheryl L. Hendriks is a J-WAFS research affiliate and an Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria. She is an internationally recognized expert in food systems, food security, nutrition policy, and sustainable development. With more than three decades of experience spanning research, policy, and practice, she has contributed to major global initiatives, including the UN Food Systems Summit Scientific Group and the Committee on World Food Security High-Level Panel of Experts. Her work focuses on food systems transformation, climate resilience, sustainability, and the environmental, social, and health dimensions of food systems.
