Neda Trifkovic is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen and the chair of Sustainable Agriculture in the Global South theme, Green Solutions Centre, University of Copenhagen. Her research interests include development and agricultural economics, particularly certification, corporate social responsibility, contract farming, transformation of global value chains, labor and working conditions in small and medium enterprises, extreme weather events, and violence against women. She is currently involved in a large collaborative project on adaptation to climate change in Tanzania (CliFT). She also leads a project on climate change mitigation in Vietnam (CAFSUS). Trifkovic has fieldwork experience from Vietnam, Myanmar, Tanzania, Serbia, and Morocco. She has published about 20 peer-reviewed articles and serves as an editorial board member for The Journal of Development Studies. She holds a BSc in food science from University of Belgrade, Serbia, a double-degree MSc in food business and development from University College Cork and University of Copenhagen, and a PhD in development economics from University of Copenhagen.
