Linzixuan (Rhoda) Zhang is a PhD candidate advised by professor Robert Langer and Ana Jaklenec in the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Rhoda received her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with highest distinction from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently leading research on the development of a biodegradable microparticle platform for micronutrient stabilization and oral delivery, aiming to tackle the hidden hunger crisis in low-to middle-income countries. She is optimizing multiple aspects of the polymer formulations to further improve the long-term stability and to expand applicability of the microparticle-based technology with potential for real-world implementation.

When not working in the lab at the Koch Institute, Rhoda enjoys trying new restaurants in the Boston/Cambridge area.
