Past Funded Researchers
Jasmina Burek holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Materials Systems Laboratory. She has over 15 years of research experience in environmental modeling of complex systems including agriculture, renewable energy, and buildings. Her current research interests focus on measuring the environmental, social, and economic impacts of organizations’ voluntary actions resulting in positive changes called "handprints." (For example, MIT’s Business Sustainability Laboratory and their carton packaging manufacturer). She is also developing a cost and environmental model to support early design decision making for passive houses and zero-energy buildings.
