Eran Ben - Joseph

Eran Ben-Joseph is the Class of 1922 Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at MIT, where he served as department head from 2013 to 2020. His work spans urban design, sustainable planning, and urban retrofitting, with projects across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Ben-Joseph has authored influential books such as "Streets and the Shaping of Towns and Cities" and "Regulating Place." His current research focuses on health in aging populations, ecological development models, and industrial urbanism.
