Danyal Rehman is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT. He also holds M.S. and B.A.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and the University of Toronto, respectively. His research focuses on the use of computational methods to infer inter-ionic transport dynamics in multi-component separation processes. Currently, he is developing mathematical frameworks to model and characterize selective electrochemical systems that enhance resource recovery and water reclamation from saline source water. In his free time, he loves to play football, scuba dive, and rock climb.
