Carolyn Blais Pinter

As the communications and program manager, Carolyn Blais Pinter coordinates all grant programming and drives J-WAFS' communications strategy by developing key messaging, generating marketing collateral, and coordinating outreach campaigns to promote research efforts. Carolyn also works with other departments, labs, and centers across MIT to collaborate on shared marketing and communication opportunities.
Before joining J-WAFS Carolyn served as the communications coordinator and interim communications manager for the Lemelson-MIT Program in the School of Engineering at MIT, where she worked to create engaging digital and print content. Prior to that, she worked in communications and development for the dean's office in MIT's School of Engineering. Other past positions include project coordinator for Berklee College of Music and staff writer for an art and literature magazine in Los Angeles, CA.
Carolyn studied English and Theater at Providence College and continues to dabble in the performing arts in her spare time. She is also currently enrolled as a part-time graduate student in Villanova University's master's of public administration program, with a focus on non-profit management.
