B. Nicholas Pasinella

B. Nicholas Pasinella is the financial & project administrator for the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at MIT. Nicholas coordinates the financial administration, review, and control for J-WAFS funding and spending as well as the director’s research accounts. He also collaborates on the administration of J-WAFS’ varied activities, including grant management of external proposals, and research administration of J-WAFS grants and fellowship programs.

Before joining J-WAFS, Nicholas worked as a program coordinator for the Sustainability Institute at the University of New Hampshire. He has also served as a consultant for many sustainability programs and institutes in higher education across the US, collaborating on projects in curriculum & research development, green buildings & renewable energy, and carbon sequestration. He joined MIT in 2019 as an assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Nicholas holds two undergraduate degrees from Clark University (physics and environmental science & policy), and two master’s degrees from Boston University (energy & environmental analysis and geography).
