Andrea Beck is a PhD candidate in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. Her research focuses on the politics of water governance in cities of the global South, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. In her dissertation, she examines Water Operator Partnerships (WOPs) as an alternative approach for reforming public water utilities in developing countries.
