Alan Berger is Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Professor Berger's research emphasizes the link between our consumption of natural resources and the waste and destruction of landscape to understand how to redesign around our wasteful lifestyles for more intelligent design and development outcomes. Professor Berger is the recipient of a 2015 J-WAFS seed grant for his project, "Strategies for Urban Stormwater Wetlands Los Angeles & Houston."
