Important Information for the September 2022 Workshop:

Strengthening Science-to-Action Collaboration for Food Systems Transformation in an Uncertain Climate

The workshop will take place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 27-29 September 2022, and is hosted by the Food and Climate Systems Transformation (FACT) Alliance and co-sponsored by Columbia University, the University of South Australia, and MIT’s Office of the Vice President for Research. The three-day workshop will catalyze action for food systems transformation through the strengthening of researcher-stakeholder collaboration.

The FACT Alliance was launched at COP26 as a global network to connect researchers, the private sector, NGOs, farming communities, and governments around a clear mission: to drive research and innovation and inform better decision making for healthy, resilient, equitable, and sustainable food systems in a rapidly changing climate. Led by MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS), the FACT Alliance currently counts 20 leading research institutions and stakeholder organizations among its members.

The FACT Alliance would like to thank Columbia University, the University of South Australia, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and MIT’s Office of the Vice President for Research for generously supporting this workshop.
