Jasmine Edo is the financial and project coordinator for the Abdul Latif Jameel World Water and Food Security Lab (J-WAFS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She manages J-WAFS' finances and various other project needs. Her responsibilities include financial projections, reporting and analysis, proposal/budget preparation, and monthly reconciliation, as well as providing other administrative support to our program. Before joining MIT, Jasmine worked at Boston Children’s Hospital Division of Hematology/Oncology as a research administrator, where she handled a $12.2M research portfolio in blood disorders and cancer research. She previously was the grants and communications coordinator at the Commonwealth Land Trust where she was responsible for grant writing and submission, as well as redesigning the logo and communication materials.
Jasmine holds an undergraduate degree from Scripps College in environmental analysis with a concentration in society, development, and the environment, and a masters of business administration from Simmons College. Outside of MIT, Jasmine enjoys photography, attending concerts, visiting museums, spending time outdoors, and participating in local social justice events.
