August, 2015

At the recent International Desalination Association 2015 World Congress on Desalination and Water Reuse, MIT was strongly represented in the award presentations.   Conference attendees included members of the research group of J-WAFS director John H. Lienhard V –supported by funding from the Center for Clean Water and Clean Energy at MIT and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), and by the MIT-Masdar Institute Cooperative Program – along with researchers from the Global Engineering and Research (GEAR) Lab and the MIT/ King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) program, and two of MIT’s Ibn Khaldun Fellows.  MIT spin-off Gradiant Corporation was also among the award winners; Gradiant’s core technology was developed through the MIT-KFUPM program with market guidance from the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation.
